Hi- I’m Malinda Leonard, owner of Empowering Women Photography based in Libertyville, IL. I’ve been in healthcare sales for the last 20+ years and it is time I follow my heart to support and cheer on local women!

I’ve been working from home for the last 8 years, and I realized how much I was missing a sense of community with like-minded women. The networking groups I have been in before never really resonated with me and couldn’t provide the types of connections I have been craving. So, when I couldn’t find the type of group I wanted to be part of, I figured I would start my own :)!!!

Typical networking groups are quick, surface level connections between business owners. I crave deeper connections and friendships with women in my community. I truly believe there are also non-business owners who seek these connections as well. I am passionate about creating a community of women cheering on other women in a social setting where we can truly connect at a more intimate level.

My vision is for our local business owners to share their knowledge with our community so we can empower them by supporting their business and the attendees are empowered with knowledge they didn’t have before!
